Message from the Director – Energy Directorate

As Director of the Energy Directorate, I would like to highlight the importance of ensuring reliable, sustainable, and safe energy services across our region. Energy plays a fundamental role in improving livelihoods, supporting essential services, and driving economic development, and it is important that its development is carefully planned and responsibly managed.

Our directorate is committed to expanding access to electricity in both urban and rural areas, with particular attention to remote and pastoral communities. We promote the use of renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and other clean technologies to ensure long-term sustainability and environmental protection.

We also work to ensure that all energy systems and services meet required technical standards and safety regulations. Proper use of energy, efficient consumption, and adherence to safety practices are essential to prevent risks and ensure reliable service delivery.

I would like to call upon all stakeholders, including service providers, technicians, and communities, to use energy responsibly and support efforts aimed at improving access and efficiency. Public awareness and cooperation are key in building a safe, sustainable, and accessible energy system.

Through responsible planning, innovation, and collaboration, we aim to ensure that energy services contribute effectively to the development and well-being of our communities.

“Save energy, secure your future”
